Finditinworcestershire to match-make suppliers and buyers at free event

05/04/2012

Companies from all around the county can meet some of the biggest names in local business at Finditinworcestershire’s latest breakfast and networking meeting this month.

Senior buyers from construction giants Thomas Vale Construction and Speller Metcalfe will be talking to prospective local suppliers at Worcester Warriors’ Sixways Stadium on Tuesday 17 April.

And there’s still time for county companies to book one-to-one meetings at the ‘Construction: Meet the buyer’ event, which takes place from 7am to 9.30am (registration from 6.45am).

Worcestershire County Council’s Head of Property Services, Peter Parkes, will also be meeting local suppliers who could contribute to council construction and refurbishment projects.

Attendance is free for Finditinworcestershire members, who can book a place at ‘Construction: Meet the buyer’ online today.

Finditinworcestershire’s organisers are expecting a high turn-out for the breakfast meeting after last year’s ‘meet the buyer’ event attracted more than 250 people.

Attendees will meet business owners, directors and senior managers in a high-quality open networking session, as well as seeing presentations from industry experts and exploring a range of exhibition stands, alongside a complimentary breakfast bap or Danish pastry.

Thomas Vale Construction and Speller Metcalfe are part of the West Midlands Contractor Framework, which manages all of the county council’s construction and refurbishment projects.

"Our April breakfast meeting is a great way for local companies to meet people who could buy their products and services,” said project manager Kathryn Wagstaff. "Finditinworcestershire works as a match-making service for buyers and suppliers in the county so we’re delighted to bring such big names to our members. Thomas Vale and Speller Metcalfe manage millions of pounds’ worth of work – if not billions – throughout Worcestershire every year, and Peter Parkes oversees all major property projects for the county council. We’re hoping for a great turn-out on the day and many productive relationships for the future.”

One-to-one slots with Thomas Vale, Speller Metcalfe and Worcestershire County Council’s Head of Property Services can be booked by emailing claire@finditinworcestershire.com – but only after a place for the meeting has been booked by visiting the ‘Construction: Meet the buyer’ event listing.
