The easy way to find opportunities from major projects
23/04/2012
Finding opportunities to supply major regeneration and construction projects around the county will be easier in the future thanks to a new Finditinworcestershire service.
New pages have been launched on the Finditinworcestershire website that will list all of the opportunities generated by initiatives such as new buildings, major refurbishments and regeneration schemes.
Thomas Vale Construction, Speller Metcalfe and Kier will all contribute to the Major Contractors’ Projects pages, and each company has its own section.
The three contractors are part of the West Midlands Contractor Framework, which is the protocol that manages the delivery of major public sector construction and refurbishment projects.
Worcestershire County Council, Herefordshire Council, West Mercia Police Authority and Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service all use the framework.
When new projects receive the ‘green light’ to go ahead, the opportunities they create at tier two, three and four level will be added to the Major Contractors’ Projects pages, which also include information about each of the companies.
The pages were launched at Finditinworcestershire’s April breakfast and networking meeting, ‘Construction: Meet the buyer’, which attracted more than 150 delegates and included one-to-one meetings with each of the contractors’ buyers.
Opportunities posted to the pages will also be included in Finditinworcestershire’s regular opportunity listings and members listed in relevant sectors will receive email alerts when new opportunities are uploaded.
Keep an eye on the Major Contractors’ Projects pages for Thomas Vale, Speller Metcalfe and Kier for opportunities – coming soon!
