Agritech Business Workshop

Companies from across Worcestershire are being invited to attend a workshop on the future of the county’s agriculture and horticulture industries.
The event has been designed to bring together Worcestershire businesses from right across the AgriFood industry supply chain and explore the challenges that they are set to face in the future, especially as wide-ranging technological innovations gather pace and offer new opportunities.
Attendees will then be able to discuss how they can work together with industry professionals and experts to overcome these industry specific challenges.
As highlighted in the successful ‘Young People in Industry Day’ held in June at Pershore College, industries are evolving rapidly and it is becoming increasingly important to provide the future workforce with an understanding of new skills. It is now expected that that the workforce has an understanding of technical skills such as robotics, advanced mechanisation, monitoring technologies and genetics among other skills.
