Businesses across Worcestershire are being invited to a special event with FinditinWorcestershire which will provide a detailed update on the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and the extensive procurement and supply chain opportunities available for SMEs across the county.
The breakfast event – which will take place at FinditinWorcestershire's usual event venue, Sixways Stadium on Thursday 19 September - will be hosted by:
- Worcestershire County Council
- Birmingham 2022 Organising Committee CEO, Ian Reid
- Birmingham City Council Project Director, Neil Carney
The briefing will offer practical information on the opportunities for businesses arising from the Games themselves and the related infrastructure and capital projects with Birmingham City Council. The event comes just as organisers have unveiled the new logo that demonstrates a 'Games for Everyone'. The brand connects key West Midlands locations - many of which will host events during the Games - bringing the areas together to create the unique B-shaped design.
There will be panel discussions exploring the potential impact on the region, including Worcestershire, and the event is open to all sectors and sizes of business. It will provide introductory information about the Organising Committee’s contracting and procurement approach.
