In Detail

A development opportunity within the historic Great Malvern Conservation Area has become available through Savills Birmingham, with planning permission for new homes.

The site comprises a substantial 581 sq m Victorian Gothic manor house which is currently used as a late-night venue and bar, known as Priors Croft.

The site, which sits opposite Malvern Theatre, Priory Park and Malvern Priory on Grange Road extends to 0.38 acres and currently has planning permission for part-demolition of ancillary buildings, conversion of the existing manor house into three townhouses and erection of a new dwelling.

Rachel Hull, Associate Director in the development team at Savills Birmingham, comments: “We are pleased to bring Priors Croft, which sits within a prime position in the centre of Great Malvern, to the market. Suitable for a number of uses, the site offers views to the Malvern Hills and Malvern Priory making it perfect for conversion to residential, but it also has off road parking, lending itself to a mixed use development made up of retail and residential. It will continue to operate as a late-night venue and bar until sold.”

The site, which is available on a freehold basis, is being offered for sale by informal tender with offers being sought as a whole on both an unconditional and a conditional basis. Interested parties should contact Rachel Hull or Tom Walker at Savills Birmingham on 0121 615 2664 or by emailing tom.walker@savills.com
