In Detail

The Social Media Café, part of Online Media Works, a Worcestershire-based social media and marketing company, has a special birthday coming up.

FinditinWorcestershire member, Esther Partridge-Warner, who lives in Malvern, launched the Social Media Café in July 2017. It aims to help small businesses grow by learning to use social media effectively and by keeping it simple. Esther is a former Worcestershire Business Woman of the Year, regional winner of Enterprise Nation Start-up 2017 Instagram competition and lecturer at the University of Worcester. But right now, she’s planning a birthday party for a one-year-old!

She said: “I just want to have a bit of a do to say thank you to everyone who’s come to the Social Media Café over the past 12 months.”

Esther added: “One of the joys of the Social Media Café is the chatter and idea swapping. It’s helped me realise that there’s also a real need for Social Media Café workshops in an online format, too and I’m now looking to start developing this.”

The Social Media Cafe will open its doors at 9.30am until 11.30am on Friday July 6 2018 for the birthday celebrations. There will be a question and answer social media session, followed by birthday cake, a chance to network and a raffle in aid of a very special cause. It’s being held at Open Space Rooms, Upper Interfields in Malvern.

A mother-of-three, Esther decided to set up Online Media Works in 2016 after a shock diagnosis of breast cancer in August 2015. The proceeds from the birthday raffle will go to charity Breast Cancer Haven who supported her recovery.

The Social Media Café’s fast-growing reputation for exceeding expectations is only being met by the reputation of its cakes. These are regularly made for the workshops by Esther, a passionate baker.

Karen Taylor, partner at the Consumables Company, who attended Twitter for Business, Instagram and Facebook said: “It’s hard to say whether Esther is a better social media expert or a better baker … either way you go away totally satisfied and really can’t help but come back for more!”

The birthday celebration is free to attend and open to anyone interested in finding out more about the Social Media Café. For more details contact esther@onlinemediaworks.co.uk or ring 078079 76004.
