Green Cow Kitchens, the fine dining restaurant located in rural Herefordshire has been shortlisted in the Family Business of the Year category at Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber Business Awards.
The family-run restaurant, born in 2012, was renovated from an old pigsty on the Whitbourne Estate. Since its opening, Green Cow Kitchens has been showcasing the very best that the farm can produce. All food is reared on the farm and the tasting menu remains seasonal through the year with chefs foraging for wild garlic, hedgerow berries and fruit. What isn’t grown on the farm is sourced from local suppliers.
The highly successful restaurant draws guests both locally and nationally to try the unique monthly tasting menus, created with the help of Chef, Patrick McDonald, who previously ran his own Michelin starred restaurant.
Winners of each category will be announced at the highly anticipated awards ceremony, taking place on Thursday, 4th July at the Worcester Arena. All winners will then be automatically entered into the Business of the Year Award.
Joe Evans, managing director and founder of Green Cow Kitchens said “We’re absolutely thrilled to be shortlisted for this award. We have been working so hard over the last seven years to create a restaurant that showcases our lovingly reared produce and selection of local produce. The monthly set tasting menu reflects what is ready at its best from our farm and our other local suppliers, which is what draws diners from near and far wanting to taste our delicious food.”
The power couple behind Green Cow Kitchens, Joe and Keeley, are set to open a luxury events venue later this year, as they were inspired to share their magnificent estate and mouth-watering food offering on a much larger scale. Crumplebury is set to open in October and will consist of a beautiful banqueting hall, lounge, bar and 13 luxury bedrooms.
