For SMEs wanting some help to promote their business but don’t know where to begin, the latest event from FinditinWorcestershire will give them the tools and advice they need to have their voice heard and give their brand or product the exposure it deserves.
Taking place from 6.45am to 9.30am on Tuesday 16th May at Worcester Warriors, Sixways Stadium, Worcester, Rachael Taplin, Managing Director at blueboo Media Ltd will provide invaluable advice on how to increase the odds of being featured across media channels including TV, radio, print and online.
In addition, Rachael will discuss how to approach the media with a story and what mistakes to avoid, as well as providing advice on how to create a positive public image, maximise media coverage and how to pitch and distribute a story.
The free event, entitled ‘Meet the journalists: Your guide to effective PR’ will also be attended by journalists including the Worcester News, who will be on hand to help give advice on how to become more newsworthy, as well as taking part in a Q&A panel session.
FinditinWorcestershire aims to bring together contractors and suppliers to provide supply chain opportunities to the local economy. With over 8,000 members on its website and growing daily, it currently has over 126 live contract opportunities on its website, with a total value of £408,000,000.
Lorna Jeynes, from Worcestershire County Council, comments: “This latest event has been organised to give SMEs a real insight into how to gain recognition for their achievements and generate positive press coverage.
“They will hear first-hand from journalists to understand how to pitch a story which we hope will give them the tools required to gain valuable media exposure. Standing out from the competition is key and receiving quality editorial content can really launch a business or product. As places are limited, we would advise anyone interested in attending to book their place now to avoid disappointment.”
