FinditinWorcestershire is delighted to announce that the Worcestershire tech accelerator has been shortlisted for the 'Technology Innovation Champion of the Year' award at the Innovation Awards 2023.

The prestigious Innovation Awards recognises, celebrates and rewards nominated businesses, organisations and individuals who are dedicated to innovation.

Judges access the nominations and put forward a shortlist for each category, and have selected Betaden for the award which recognises the value and impact of support from publicly funded projects and organisations.

Donston Powell, Marketing and Communications Manager at BetaDen, said: “It is an honour to be recognised among the industry's top technology champions, highlighting our commitment to supporting cutting-edge tech products and solutions.

"We sincerely appreciate everyone’s ongoing support and belief in our vision, we couldn't have reached this stage without you and will continue delivering real help for real tech for the years to come. “

Betaden's reputation is highly esteemed in the region for pushing next generation technology boundaries and fostering innovation in the industry.

Over 40 technology businesses have been supported through the locally renowned accelerator - creating over 100 jobs and securing millions of pounds worth of funding and investment.

The award-winning platform recruits cohorts of businesses that receive a free, six-month programme of support worth £50,000 to accelerate their path to commercial success. This includes a £10,000 proof of concept grant, £2,000 marketing fund, access to Worcestershire’s 5G testbed, free office space in Malvern Hills Science Park and mentoring from a hand-picked team of commercial and technology experts.

It was named 'Best Technology Accelerator' in the country at the UK Business Tech Awards in 2022.

The Innovation Awards 2023 shortlist is now open to the public vote (which will also include an additional judge's choice) to decide on the four finalists for each category.
