The Birmingham 2022 Cultural Programme is offering Birmingham and West Midlands artists/cultural organisations the opportunity to submit a proposal for commissions of up to £25,000 to create public artworks.

In Detail

As part of its six-month festival, The Birmingham 2022 Cultural Programme is offering Birmingham and West Midlands artists/cultural organisations the opportunity to submit a proposal for commissions of up to £25,000 to create public artworks.

Each artwork will celebrate and connect to a specific sport of The Games.

The sports allocated to this creative brief are:

  • Aquatics – Swimming and Para Swimming
  • Athletics and Para Athletics
  • Basketball 3x3 and Wheelchair Basketball 3x3
  • Lawn Bowls and Para Lawn Bowls.

The commissions will be presented in July 2022 as part of the Birmingham 2022 Culture Programme.
