Veritas Hotel Group, owned by hoteliers Aidan and Sarah Stevens, has completed he refurbishment of 13 bedrooms at its Stratton House Hotel venue in Cirencester.

It is only eight months since the group took over the 17th century Stratton House – with them also adding 10 new jobs.

Aidan Stevens, director of Veritas Hotel Group said: “When we took over the hotel last July we said we wanted to re-establish Stratton House, not only as a tourist destination and a venue for corporate guests and weddings, but also placing it back into the heart of the community.

“We are very aware of the hotel’s history and the respect that deserves, but we are also making our own mark with the elegant and modern style we know people look for in a country hotel. We are looking forward to the completion of phase two in early summer.”

The couple took over the St Andrews Town Hotel in 2012 and have invested significantly to add a 150-seat Orangery which has helped double the amount of corporate guests visiting and tripling wedding bookings.
